Me Amo Wellness; What Happened to ILWML?

I have been so full of energy the past couple of days.

I changed the name from In Love With Me Lifestyle to Me Amo Wellness. I wondered whether this was the right choice and considered contacting friends and a mentor. However, I concluded that it's my business, and I need to trust myself to make the right choices that align with the value of the community I am creating.

In Love With Me Lifestyle started because I needed a place to blog my feelings. It was a wonderful healing space for the past year and a half. But I quickly realized I wanted this space to be less focused on me and more on healing others and creating that community. In Love With Me Lifestyle was giving the presence of it's all about me. I was at a point where I needed to be selfish and focus on myself to survive day to day and to work through my thoughts. I am so grateful to be in this space where my thoughts no longer consume me. Or when it comes down to it, I can reach into my toolbox and work through it before it becomes a more significant issue. With anxiety and depression not taking up space, I can now hold space for others. (They always say you can't pour from an empty cup; well, you can't invite others to a full party).

Along with being more focused on others, I wanted to focus my community on Latina women. It's essential not only to have a community but also one that understands you. Being Latina comes with its own set of generational trauma, setbacks, and limiting beliefs. I can't even tell you the amount of limiting beliefs I have had to work through or have to combat hearing while being back home. But I approach it with love and understanding because they only do the best they can with the information they know and have grown up with. I also have been getting back in tune with my roots. (I am planning a solo trip to Puerto Rico soon.) I am so proud to be Latina and want to fully embrace it (hmmm... that needs to be my next journal prompt).

The name Me Amo Wellness fits all of that for me. And with that, I have realized that my purpose in life is to bring lightness, happiness, and joy to others. The joy I feel in my heart is shareable. Please remember that even though we are Latina-focused does not mean if you aren't, you don't have a seat at our table. I am passionate about happiness + wellness for all womxn. We damn deserve it. Pull up a chair, and let's work together on completely loving ourselves and empowering each other.

Te Quiero,

Amarilys
